The basic working principle of earthmoving machinery is to use mechanical force to lift soil or materials from their original location, transport them to a designated location via a transport device, and complete the unloading operation. This process mainly relies on the traction and speed of the machinery to achieve the desired operational effect.

The power unit of earthmoving machinery is usually a diesel engine, and the transmission system uses mechanical, hydraulic-mechanical, or hydraulic methods. Its structure includes three parts: a power unit, a chassis system, and a working device. The walking device is either wheeled or tracked. This type of machinery uses a hydraulic system to drive the working device and steering system, achieving combined functions such as earthmoving, transporting, and unloading.
